Label Me A Skeptic
Why do all the popular software brands list certain (we won't name them but you know who they are) label manufacturers in their software and not our CompuLabel Brand?
Did you ever notice that?
As a 4 year old Angelina might say: 'At's a good question!
I have no idea of the answer. I could guess though. Maybe the other brands are just willing to offer kickbacks to the software company for being listed in their drop down menu?
If that is true, and I am not implying that it is, it's no wonder that the popular brands of labels are two or three times the price of the labels at www.tlcIT.com
Many, many people have asked us for cross references to these popular name brand labels. And, because of issues, mostly legal issues, we do not post the cross references on our website.
These popular brand name labels would want you to believe that because your software does not include our item numbers, you cannot print on them. That's hogwash!
I'd like to help you change that belief!
To make it easier for you to print on our labels and card stock, we offer you free template downloads for all our labels and card stock items. These templates are formatted for use in Microsoft Word.
This seems to help most of you. But there are still some of you, and you all know who you are, who believe that if you cannot select the item number from the drop down list in your favorite label software, you believe, that you can't print on the label.
I'd like to make a bold statement that all of our labels and card stock items including business cards, name badge cards, postcards, address labels, circle labels, cd labels, dvd labels, audio cassette labels, VHS labels, themal labels, pinfeed labels and on and on can be printed with most good label software programs out there.
...And on any printer you might have too!
So, if you want to print labels from us, I'll show you how to set up a "Custom Label" in your software program. Again, most good software programs have this "Custom" feature. And it's real simple.
Just look for the Custom Label Setup Field in your label software program. Then set up your own label template, by typing in a few dimensions. The dimensions of our labels can be found on every image posted on our site. They look like this...

Notice the dimensions on this picture of item # 311005? WOW!!!! That's fluorescent Green... In honor of Saint Patrick's Day!
They can be used to create a custom label in your software. Just enter these dimensions into the appropriate fields in your software's "Custom Label" tool to create your own template that will be compatible with your label software, your printer and your favorite labels from www.tlcIT.com.
For instance, in Microsoft Word, (sorry that's the label software that I use) it's as easy as 1...2...3.
You can create custom labels by going to the menu and select Tools.
Then select Envelopes and Labels
another window opens and you select the Labels Tab
On the Labels Tab you select... 1. Label Options
Another window opens and then you choose 2. New Label
A third window opens where you 3 . Fill in the Dimensions in the New Custom Label Window
I filled in the custom label dimensions in the 3rd window you see here for label item # 311005
So that's it! That's all there is too it! You're ready to print this label now since its saved in your software. All you had to do was enter the dimensions of the label.
It's one other way to hopefully help make it easier for you to use our sheeted labels and card stock here at www.tlcIT.com.
Hope this helps.... And like everything else we post here, if you have any questions or comments please Contact Us or post them here.
Thanks for stopping by,
Rick
