Lose An Hour of Your Time On A Weekend! What Were They Thinking?
Hello there...
Hard to believe it's another hump day... Wednesday! Only two days till the weekend and three days till Daylight savings here the great North East. One thing I do not like about daylight savings is that we lose an whole hour on the weekend... Sigh!
Do you think if we all get together and signed a petition, that the lawmakers might shift that springing an hour ahead to a Monday morning? Say at around 11:00?
Imagine i'ts a Monday morning at 10:59. It's your usual hectic, take no prisoners, Monday morning, where everything is happening all at once and nothing is going right. Basically, because it's a Monday!
You walk over to the company time clock to get a closer look at the official time. You feel like it should be 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon and but instead it's only 10:59!
Then you remember, ah ha, daylight savings time.
Let's Spring Forward. Bring on lunch...
The clock now reads 11:00 and by rights its really 12:00 so you bolt out to lunch.
Whew that hour flew!
Wouldn't that be great... instead now when you go to bed on Saturday night at 1:00 AM after watching your favorite movie, you have to remember to set you clock forward to 2:00 AM and with a twist of a dial or a flick of button, you lost an hour just when you least wanted to. You thought you'd get up early on Sunday to enjoy more of the day....
Bzzzzz!
Face it you lose...
You lose an hour of sleep, or you lose an hour of your Saturday night, or you lose an hour of your Sunday.
No matter how you look at it you lose a whole hour of your life!
And why oh why oh why...?
... what the heck were they thinking...?
...when they passed that into law? To spring forward on the weekend?!
I don't recall voting for that did you?
Rick
P.S. I am ignoring, for the sake of convenience, about falling back in the fall which also occurs on the weekend so we'll get this hour back! Now we're talking! I'd vote to keep this how 'bout you?
P.S.S. I wanted to blog about Circle Labels today oh well, I'll let you know more about the labels that make life go round tomorrow!
