What a Wonderful Experience Refilling My Canon BX-3 Inkjet Cartridge

Have you ever tried those inexpensive inkjet refill kits you see at Sams Club or Wal-Mart?
You know the ones I'm talking about don't you?

They usually contain a vial or two of ink, a syringe and some other small tools

If you haven't tried to refill your own inkjet cartridges yet with one of these, you are smart!
My advice, from is experience is don't even bother...!

Why?

Well yes it is true that at the time (now is no different) I had no idea what I was doing! But lets be totally frank, how hard could it possibly be to extract ink from a vial and inject it into an inkjet cartridge reservoir?

Not Rocket Science right!

Wrong... !

Maybe being a rocket scientist would have helped, although I doubt it!

From my experience they are:
Messy
A Pain
and
Don't Work... and those are all the nice things I have to say about refilling your own inkjet cartridge.

I am not saying this to scare you away from trying this yourself. You are most welcome to try to refill your own inkjet cartridge with the ink refill kit at www.tlcIT.com

But, if you are one of those people that have to learn things for yourself, then go ahead and try it but don't tell complain to me that I didn't warn you!

The cartridge I personally refilled (several times as a matter of fact since once was not enough to get it through my thick skull), was the CanonĀ® BX-3 cartridge.

It's a fairly easy cartridge to fill or so I thought.

After refilling it though, I installed the newly refilled cartridge in our Canon FaxPhone B640 and much to my surprise it seemed to work.

The test page printed out flawlessly!

Pretty easy I thought!

Later on though, when we received our first fax, and after the cartridge had time to settle in the printer, I was no longer convinced. Not only was the cartridge leaking , but there were streaks the entire length of the paper and some of the text on the fax was missing.

It was not legible at all and to make matters worse, we had to call the company that sent the fax and ask them to refax it.

Needless to say I had learned my lesson the hard way.

Now I use nothing but compatibles with our Canon FaxPhone B640 and leave it up to our ISO certified manufacturing plant to produce a great quality cartridge which offers no hassles!

Rick
